Over the years we've become very popular for our freshly prepared particles with customers returning time and time again. YES we agree that you do get more bait for your money when you buy dry particles but even anglers who always buy dry products from us eventually fall for the 1Kg vacuum packs. As stated on the product pages for prepared particles we "prepare to order" so the quality remains at the highest possible standard. We made a few tweets about us rolling out preserved particles a few months ago and so far so good (fingers crossed).

The test batches we made are still sitting on the shelf here showing no signs of deterioration or drying out. We're by no means fans of preserving any angling baits so we're taking a different approach to preserving particle baits. The end goal is to acheive a shelf life of about 4 months without the need for freezing or refrigeration using the smallest amount of preservative possible. This has been acheived by using a food grade preservative at only 0.01% of the total weight which is much lower than some of the foods we all eat every day. Like other bait firms out there the particles will only remain preserved until opened and will break down normally thereafter unless you freeze them or for shorter term storage put them in the fridge. Volume wise our closest competitors seem to have a lot of variation in the liquid to bait ratios in the containers. You'll be glad to hear that we've managed to preserve the particles using the bare minimum of liquid in the container and enough to stop drying out at around 5% of the total weight. So you won't be buying a pot of particle cooking water with next to no bait!

At the moment we are also asking for customer feedback regarding sizes of the containers you would like to see us produce. The process overall will be not too far removed from our standard prepared particles and again we will prepare all preserved particles to order so you will get the full 4 months shelf life. Due to this "to order" approach we will also be able to provide a much wider range of preserved particles too. At the moment we've seen Hemp, Tares, Maize, Tiger Nuts and Parti Mix in the shops with a few variants such as added Chilli etc. We're again asking for feedback on what would you like us to produce?
