Kenneth and I went to my old favourite stretch of canal for Perch with the ultralight lure set-ups, this is where I used to go and bag up on lures and get sometimes 50+ fish in an evening and had them to 2+, even a couple of 2`s in an evening. I was reluctant to go back as I`d heard that an old friend whom I fished it with a few yrs ago who is quite well known in the lure fishing world and had plenty of good fish from there had stopped fishing it as "Bloody polish have had em all!"

He could have a point.

NO perch, NO follows and this was unheard of, and guess what? eastern european with a spinning rod. I really worry about how far this gonna go now not just locally but everywhere. I have seen them several times in numbers around bingley and herself has too and I even made one return a Pike he`d just landed. I am now going to approach my local clubs to ask to be a watcher but I`m not stupid I doubt it`ll do any help and I am a member of the self preservation society and I am aware that these things are f***ing animals and are usually armed so we`ll see! I hear that most of the canals around leeds are being plundered and I know of someone who pulls longlines out of the A&C on a weekly basis. I fear for our sport now!
I will have a couple more sesh`s down there and see if I can judge it better though.

One funny thing happened tonight though, Ken clipped on a new lure and said"oooh! I likes this one, have a go with this!" and hands me his rod (which is the same as mine!) I took it on had a cast and told of the time in exactly the same spot I did exactly the same thing and passed my rod to my mate and he nailed a pike on my ultralight, and the same thing happened tonight! that was the only thing of note on a postitive, that and a few honeys walking about!

Hey ho, see what happens next time...................

Don't you know someone that can get you vest? and not the string type! Just pose as a dog walker then hoof the fucker in the drink last time I checked it's hard to shank someone whilst trying not to drown. Unless you are James Bond that is. Besides are they going to run to the old Bill? Probably not as they were commiting a crime themselves. Anyway you were watching telly and tying traces at my house

Disclaimer: NSA does not condone hoofing non licence holders illegally removing fish into the water. Please make sure you just watch where you are going as you could bump an "innocent until proven guilty" TWOC'er into the river, canal or lake as well as breaking his fishing tackle in the process.
